My Artist Statement

​I make art to express ideas. Design has become my outlet, a visual language where thoughts and ideas can exist beyond me. Unlike other designers, I am unafraid to use vibrant color palettes that allow my designs to occupy space confidently, creating a strong presence within any environment. Bright colors, bold fonts, and vintage influence define my work.  Finding harmony between nostalgia and contemporary clarity, I often lean into geometric shapes and layered textures, creating compositions that feel both dynamic and intentional.  Conceptually, my designs are rooted in research. I approach each project with intention, ensuring that every element clearly communicates the idea behind the work. My work aims to evoke a range of emotions in people, whether it’s joy, curiosity, comfort, or excitement. My goal is to infuse people’s lives with color and emotion in a way that feels inviting rather than intimidating.

I create most of my work using Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop. These digital tools give me the flexibility to build clean shapes, experiment with composition, and refine my designs with precision. My process always begins with research. I try to understand the assignment or theme from multiple angles. From there, I build a mood board, sketch initial ideas, develop digital drafts, and refine the final composition. My current body of work represents the beginning of my development as a professional designer. It’s a foundation that I plan to grow into more specialized fields, such as packaging or political design, both areas where visual impact and emotional communication are especially important. Each piece I create brings me closer to the designer I hope to become.
